Brett Sprouse

DO

A native of Alabama and 2009 Auburn University graduate, Brett is excited to be back in Auburn to serve the community. He is currently an Associate Team Physician for Auburn University, Team Physician for Tuskegee University, and an Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine, Family Medicine, and OMM at VCOM-Auburn. He is a Board-Certified Family Physician and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sport Medicine.

Dr. Sprouse completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at VCOM-Auburn. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where he graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2016.

While in medical school, he also earned his Masters of Business Administration, with focus in Healthcare Leadership, at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO in May 2015. During his time at KCUMB, he served as an Undergraduate OMM Fellow, where he taught medical students and assisted with research.

His particular area of interest includes team medicine, treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, MSK ultrasound, concussion management, and osteopathic manipulation. Outside of work, he spends time with his wife, Melissa, and son, Nathan. They enjoy attending Auburn athletics events, golfing, and traveling whenever possible.
