Jos Edison

DO

Edison, a native of Blakely, Ga., first realized his love for sports medicine while playing football for Valdosta State University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. He went on to medical school at Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, Va., before completing his Family Medicine residency at Spartanburg Regional in Spartanburg, S.C..
 
Edison in 2016 moved to Auburn from Virginia Tech where he completed his VCOM Sports Medicine Fellowship serving the Hokies for the 2015-2016 athletic year. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine (non operative). He is and Associate Professor in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative medicine at VCOM-Auburn.
 
He is the Chair of Sports Medicine and the Program Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Auburn University and VCOM.
 
Edison is a team physician at Auburn University and a Fellow in the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine His particular area of interest includes care of the whole patient, treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, sports medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound treatments and diagnosing, concussion management, orthobilogics such as PRP and osteopathic manipulation.
 
When not in the office Edison enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, all kids sporting events, Hunting, Fishing and movie nights.
 
Edison and his wife, Kim, have three sons, Tyler, Camden and Mason.
